Life x Style 057 (Socially Conscious Knits- Always In Style)
I’ve been in a perpetual purge phase, as I rid my life of excess clothes and other belongings that I realized are just weighing me down. I am embracing living with less by investing in high-quality wardrobe essentials, or basics, like a timeless V-neck pullover (more style inspo here). This is something that has made my life easier and even more stylish because I have more space to play and use my creativity.
Invest in high quality knits= sustainable style
The key to making something like a V-neck sweater an investment item and not a blow-a-bunch-of-money item is to choose high-quality, build-to-last craftsmanship, timeless lines. By purchasing high-quality wardrobe essentials such as timeless knits, you can easily update each season with a few new accoutrements instead of doing an entire overhaul- which is usually a huge waste and even a let down!
I know how it feels to grow stale of your wardrobe, like you just need some ‘thing’ new to breathe new life into your world. So make life easier, and invest in a great new scarf, a wrap, or even an earring each season to rejuvenate the wear-forever pieces that you already have.

Each purchase is a vote. Each choice matters.
The sweater featured here is the Ava Pullover in Silver, made by Callina, a sustainable luxury, socially conscious brand based in San Francisco. Their knits are handmade by artisans in Peru from 100% baby Alpaca, and dyed using eco-friendly practices.
If you are looking for a high-quality, made-to-last, ethically and sustainably sourced knit, your search is over. Their entire website consists of timeless lux knits that can easily be dressed up or down. Learn more about Callina in earlier posts here, here, here, here, here & here. Stay tuned for additional style inspo from our recent shoot together at an iconic San Francisco landmark.
Get involved. Become part of the movement for a healthier, more sustainable fashion world. I believe that together we can change the face of fashion. Wear what you love and wear what empowers you. Also consider where your clothes were made and who made them. Your purchase may empower the person who made them (or not). Shop wisely.
Every purchase is a vote. Make yours count. Dress in clothing you love and that have a positive impact on you and the rest of the world.
*The items featured on this blog are what I consider sustainable fashion and/or are items I have owned for a very long time- which I would then consider a sustainable fashion choice simply for the longevity of it.
