  • Life x Style 054 (Dress-ing for Fall)

As much as I cringe when temps start to drop, something I do love are the rich colors and textures so typical of the fall season. A piece like this go-with-everything dress is the key to seamless transitional dressing– perfect on its own or layer it up for a reliable cooler-weather look.
Prepping for this shoot, I realized there are SO MANY ways to style this super versatile dress, so stay tuned for more styling options and inspo on this one. As you can see here it is the perfect black canvas to which you can add whatever your creative heart desires- which is what I would consider a wardrobe staple.

What I LOVE about this look:

    • made for fall warm caramel hue
    • simple lines with standout embellishments (hand mitts, Mother of Pearl buttons)
    • made with natural fibers that don’t wrinkle and are easy to move [work play live] in.

That’s the ease of a line like Marie Hell —all of their garments offer this endless mixing & matching that allows you to get creative, play, go high or low, and make it what you want by adding or exchanging accessories, boots, shoes, hats, glasses, etc., as shown here.

    Shown here:
Dress: Marie Hell Score dress (for more on this see here & here)
Necklace: a relic, from Macy’s another lifetime ago…
    Mules: thrifted

Get involved. Become part of the movement for a healthier, more sustainable fashion world. I believe that together we can change the face of fashion.  Wear what you love and wear what empowers you. Also consider where your clothes were made and who made them. Your purchase may empower the person who made them (or not). Shop wisely.

Every purchase is a vote. Make yours count. Dress in clothing you love and that have a positive impact on you and the rest of the world.

*The items featured on this blog are what I consider sustainable fashion and/or are items I have owned for a very long time- which I would then consider a sustainable fashion choice simply for the longevity of it.
