  • Life x Style 053 (Fall is coming. Wear a sweater)

I recently teamed up with SF-based conscious fashion brand Callina. You may have noticed I’ve shared a few earlier posts featuring their luxurious knitwear line {here, here, here & here} Callina is all about creating ethically crafted sustainable luxury, and empowering the makers of their clothes- and this brand really does walk their talk.

I’ve spoken with the founder of Callina, Michelle Sheppard, in detail about the sourcing, production and craftsmanship of their garments. She is nothing short of inspiring to me because she is proving that sustainable luxury is possible. She is doing it. And considering the most recent catastrophic weather patterns, it is imperative.

For our shoot, not only did Callina introduce me to their new fall fashion line, they also introduced me to an iconic spot in the SF Bay Area, The Marin Headlands, which I had never even heard of (gasp!). There are numerous lookout spots sure to be flooded with locals and tourists alike because the views are breathtaking, unforgettable. I’ve been back there many times in fact. Beautiful clothes, beautiful land, beautiful mission- what more could I ask for all in a days work.

If you happen to be in need of replenishing your fall wardrobe of cozy sweaters, like the plush cardigan shown here, I encourage you to check out Callina for many wear-forever options, and make your next shopping choice a sustainable and ethical one. Brands like Callina are making it so much easier to find more sustainable shopping choices right at our fingertips, and they’re transparent on where their garments come from, how they’re made, and by whom.

Each purchase is a vote. Each choice matters.

Get involved. Become part of the movement for a healthier, more sustainable fashion world. I believe that together we can change the face of fashion.  Wear what you love and wear what empowers you. Also consider where your clothes were made and who made them. Your purchase may empower the person who made them (or not). Shop wisely.

Every purchase is a vote. Make yours count. Dress in clothing you love and that have a positive impact on you and the rest of the world.

*The items featured on this blog are what I consider sustainable fashion and/or are items I have owned for a very long time- which I would then consider a sustainable fashion choice simply for the longevity of it.
